News from the North
Can I brag? Well of course I can … it’s my Blog.
Grade cards have arrived – 6 of them! Jake: one B+, the rest A’s – Honor Roll! Isabella: straight A’s – Honor Roll. Sophia: straight A’s – Honor Roll! Gabriella seven A’s and a couple B’s! Luke: well they don’t give A’s and B’s in 2nd grade. He got a bunch of S+’s, some E’s and some S’s. We are proud of our children’s hard work.
… and Isabella was awarded 8th grader of the month for Rogers Middle School. Jake was elected as the Sophomore Snow King at Zimmerman High School.
I am excited to get to go to the MN Gophers versus The Ohio State University Buckeyes basketball game this coming Sunday. I hope to be cheering the Buckeyes on to 24-0!! The owner of the company that host the Becker Furniture World website has season tickets for the Gophers, and has invited Jake and I to come to the game with him. He is a big Gophers fan, so some friendly smack talk will be fun.
Luke got sick in his bed last night at 4:00am. He woke Lisa, she got up and cleaned it up, came back to bed … and I slept through it all. I really did! I know you don’t believe me – but I had no idea until Lisa told me. Wasn’t she sweet to let me continue sleeping! What a wonderful wife! That is true love! Luke continued to throw-up until this afternoon. He was a sick boy. He is very disappointed that he won’t be able to play basketball tomorrow morning. He is trying to convince us that he is ok. He is not!
We went to Jake’s basketball game tonight. Jake played well. Zimmerman was over-matched against a very good team, with a VERY good player who scored 43 points. He couldn’t be stopped. The Thunder are now 11-6. They have three games next week.
Tomorrow we’ll go to watch Isabella play in a tournament. On Sunday – first the Gopher vs. Buckeye basketball game, then home to watch the Super Bowl!
Quick story: On Thursday we were leaving the basketball game and a female sheriff was being friendly with Eli. As we started to leave, Eli turned around and yelled, “Bye cop!”
Love,
JR
